ProVap 18-20 Vaporizer
Now available in a cordless, battery-powered form, this ProVap is powered by an 18V or 20V lithium-ion battery sold separately from brands Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, or Bosch.
Simply choose your preferred 18-20 volt battery and you'll be ready to vaporize up to 40 hives on a single charge! A 4 amp-hour (AH) or greater battery is recommend; it takes approximately 1 AH to initially heat up the vaporizer, and significantly less per treatment thereafter.
The ProVap 18 includes an oxalic dosing tool that allows the user to choose dosage by turning a dial. This tool removes the need to fill a cap and flip the vaporizer. Measuring out your oxalic is as easy as submerging the tool in OA container to fill the cartridge. The ProVap 18 has a built-in "feed tube" that is designed to receive the dosing tool, so there is no need to fumble with a loose Teflon cap.
It comes with a NEW ProVap dispenser, which is an integral part of the vaporize. You now can adjust the amount of OA you’re vaporizing into the hive from 1-4 grams with a simple twist of the dial! With the included dispenser, there’s no flipping of the vaporizer to get the OA into the heating vessel!!! There’s also no measuring of the OA. You just set the dispenser dial to the number of grams you desire. Dip the dispenser into the OA (where it will “grab” the OA) then place the dispenser into the PV18 “chimney.” Hold and push down on the dispenser tube until you feel it “lock it into place” and “tap” the dispenser top to disburse the OA into the heating chamber. Easily adjust for each hive dosage by merely twisting the dial! Since there is no “flipping” of the vaporizer, hives on pallets are now a breeze. Note: if your OA is bone dry, mist it slightly with water to allow it to “catch” in the vaporizer.
The process takes approximately 20 seconds per hive when vaporizing with 2 grams of oxalic acid. Additional grams will require a slightly longer time.
One year warranty.
Important: when finished treating for the day, and occasionally between treatments, rinse the dosing tool with water to prevent the oxalic acid from gumming up the mechanism.
